Summary: Reporting to the VP of Marine Operations and Vessel Safety, the Vessel Planning and Operations Jr. Superintendent will contribute to the overall success and efficient work processes of the Marine Operations Department. This support role serves as a problem solver and self-starter who will help identify and mitigate common operational issues. Primary accountabilities are to internal stakeholders to help address administration, ship scheduling, agency husbandry follow up and duties related to the Port Captain.
Location: Tacoma, WA area
Required Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years maritime operations experience or be a recent maritime academy graduate with exposure to stow planning and vessel at-berth activities. He or she will be a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who is able to analyze data and operational activities and make recommendations for improved efficiencies.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required. Maritime Academy graduates preferred.
