July 31, 2022 — The Republic of the Marshall Islands Ports Authority – RMIPA and JICA Engineers and Architects have signed the Technical Memorandum of the Preparatory Survey for the Design of the Airport Terminal Building at Amata Kabua International Airport.

The Memorandum paves the way for JICA to consult and to consider the following components of the Project:
1. Design of the new Airport Terminal with the following components:
a. Cargo Bldgs for United Airlines and AMI
b. A new Parking Structure
c. New XRay Scanners
d. Alternate Energy
e. New Passenger Boarding Structure
f. Medical Facilities
g. VIP Lounge
