January 28, 2021 — The Department of Port Administration (DPA), American Samoa, has been awarded a Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Airport Improvements Project Grant for the rehabilitation of the runway in Ofu Airport. The construction of the project is expected to begin in March 2021.

The DPA will be hosting information meetings in February and is inviting members of the public to attend. The purpose of the meetings is to explain the scope of the upcoming Ofu Runway Rehabilitation Project and provide the public with a forum to have any questions or concerns addressed before construction begins.
