Juei-Der Li,
Director-General, Hualien Harbor Bureau
Director Juei-Der Li holds a master's degree from Tamkang
University's College of Management. Prior to being promoted to
Director General in Hualien, he held the position of Chief Technical
Officer, Section Chief, and Harbor Master. The Port of Hualien is
located on the Pacific Coast along Taiwan's eastern seaboard.
Hualien Harbor Bureau was established in 1963 and now features 25
berths capable of handling 34 million tons annually. For more

Chun-Yu
Wang, Director-General, Taichung Harbor Bureau

Director Chun-Yu Wang holds an MBA from the Department of Shipping
and Transportation Management at National Taiwan Ocean
University. Prior to his promotion to Director-General, he served
as Deputy Director-General, Harbor Master, and Senior Executive
Officer. He also held multiple positions at Keelung Harbor
Bureau. The Port of Taichung, a man-made port carved from a
barren stretch of shallow shore on the west coast of central Taiwan
approximately 110 miles south of Keelung, launched operation in
1976. Today there are 49 deep-water wharves completely

John LaRue, Executive
Director, Port of Corpus Christi, Texas
John LaRue received his BA and
MA from Villanova University. Prior to his selection as
Corpus Christi's Executive Director in 1994, he served as
Executive Director of the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority.
The Port of Corpus Christi is one of the largest in the United
States and the largest economic generator of the
region. LaRue also serves as Chairman of the
International Refrigerated Transport Association and as Board
Member and Past Chairman of the Gulf of Mexico Foundation. For

The Keelung Oceanic Art & Culture
Museum, operated by Yang Ming Transport Corporation, fosters
education, research, collections, and exhibitions to promote Taiwan as
a center of maritime commerce and and develop an appreciation for
maritime art and culture. It utilizes a unique interactive,

 The Chiang
Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei is a famous monument erected in
memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of
China. After he died in 1975, the memorial design incorporated
many elements of traditional Chinese architecture. The
ground level houses a library and museum documenting Chiang Kai-shek's
life and career and exhibits related to Taiwan's history and
