| SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS
IN TAIWAN |
|
Here is another example of the
exciting sights and culture that you and your companion will
experience at the APP Annual Conference in Taiwan:
Taipei 101 is currently the world's tallest occupied building.
The name of the tower reflects its location in Taipei's international
business district (101 mailing code) as well as its floor count. It was
originally designed as a 66-story tower, until the planners were
granted a license for 101 stories as groundbreaking began. It overtook
Chicago's Sears Tower in height upon completion in 2004. It features
two observatories, restaurants, a mall, and is home to numerous
businesses. For more information, click here.
 Companions will enjoy
a special tour of the Ju Ming Museum.
Ju Ming is a Taiwanese sculptor who became popular in Taiwan during the
1970's and subsequently became famous in the 1980's New York art
scene. Trained as a woodcarver, he applies his skills to a range of
media including bronze, styrofoam, ceramics, and stainless steel. The
only outdoor sculpture museum in Taiwan, it is located in picturesque
Jinshan. It features spacious outdoor
exhibition areas that allow visitors to get
up close to the artworks on display. The architecture,
landscape design, and gardening were all carried
out or overseen by Ju Ming himself. For more information, click here.

| FREE GOLF AT 2009 ANNUAL CONFERENCE |
This year's APP Annual Conference
will feature golf free of charge
for delegates and companions at the beautiful North Bay Golf &
Country Club, located in the Shihmen county north of Taipei.
Reservations on the Annual Conference registration form are
required. North Bay is the only golf course in Taiwan that
overlooks the ocean. It regularly hosts numerous ROC PGA and
Asian Tour tournaments. For more information, click here (Chinese).
