Located in Stevenson, Washington, in the heart of the amazing Columbia River Gorge, Skamania Lodge is less than one hour from Portland International Airport (PDX).

| APP PEOPLE: PADILLA & SMITH JOIN SAN DIEGO COMMISSION, IESKE IEHSI LEAVES POHNPEI |
Two new commissioners recently joined the Board of Port Commissioners in San Diego, California USA:
Stephen Padilla was sworn in to represent the City of Chula Vista, where he previously served as mayor and as city council member. He is currently the President/Principal of Aquarius Group Inc., a consulting company that he began in 2007. His prior services includes
the Executive Board of the San Diego Association of Governments, the
U.S. Conference of Mayors, and the Independent Task Force on U.S.
Immigration Policy for the Council on Foreign Relations.
Louis Smith was sworn in to represent the
City of Coronado. He is a career naval officer, beginning in the
Navy's Civil Engineer Corps, completing three tours in Vietnam,
supervising construction of Marine combat facilities, working
in DC on military base construction projects, and
running the Navy's Public Works Office in Keflavik, Iceland.
Retiring as a two-star Admiral, he went on to serve as Chief
Administrative Officer for San Diego City Schools and then as Vice
President of Facilities for Sharp Healthcare in San Diego.
And the long-time general manager has resigned from the Pohnpei Port Authority in the Federated States of Micronesia:
Ieske Iehsi recently announced his resignation as General Manager of Pohnpei Port Authority.
Iehsi had 32 years of experience as a public servant in the FSM
including seven years at the Port and two years as FSM's
Secretary of Foreign Affairs and top foreign policy advisor to FSM's
President. No replacement has yet been announced. Iehsi served
several years on the APP Executive Committee and was 2nd Vice President
at the time of his resignation.
